Jazzmobile, celebrating its 45th anniversary, returns with Great Jazz for the Great
Hill, one of the largest New York City outdoor jazz concerts held annually. It's a
great event for families and jazz lovers alike.

Folks are broke and entertainment is a luxury these days. This concert provides New
Yorkers with top-notch performers--the George Gee Big Band, The Arturo O'Farrill Big
Band and Akiko Tsuruga--for FREE! The event is part of Jazzmobile's Harlem
International Jazz Festival, which brings the world of jazz to New York.
International artists, New York-based musicians with origins abroad and U.S.
performers of international renown will perform in the festival.

Unfortunately the JVC Jazz Festival had to be cancelled this summer because of
financial issues. Jazzmobile has presented the oldest continuous summer jazz
festival in NYC since 1964 and is back with more than 50 concerts this season.
Headliners include Frank Wess, the Frank Foster Big Band, Wycliffe Gordon, Houston
Person, Jimmy Heath, the Arturo O?Farrill Big Band, Eunice Newkirk, Lou Donaldson,
Bobby Sanabria, Vanessa Rubin, Jeremy Pelt, the Jazzmobile Allstars with Cecil
Bridgewater and The Duke Ellington Legacy Band, featuring Edward Ellington II. Every
Wednesday they are at Grant's Tomb and every Friday they are at Marcus Garvey Park
at 7:00 p.m. During the week they swing into neighborhoods in all five boroughs.

Great photos of the Great Jazz on the Great Hill artists are attached. Could you
please list or do a preview? Feel free to list or preview our others concerts
throughout August.
