    Karla celebrates the release of her new CD, “Certain Elements” (available 10-5-18), a deep collection of contemporary and traditional jazz featuring several original songs written by Karla, plus beautifully curated cover tunes.

    At this intimate listening party, Karla and producer Trammell Starks will share tracks from the record and conversation featuring behind-the-scenes stories of the making of the CD and the songs.

    Jay Leonhart has been recognized as an accomplished bass player for a long time now. He has been named the Outstanding Bassist In the Recording Industry three times and has been privileged to play with the likes of Judy Garland, Duke Ellington, Thad Jones, Buddy Rich, Jim Hall, Peggy Lee, Mel Torme, and more. Over the years, Jay has been writing and singing his own very individualistic and funny songs about life as a bass player. He has been performing his music all over the world to very receptive audiences, and garnering enthusiastic reviews as a result.

    Cory Henry, Brooklyn NY native, is telling everybody he is on his way. He is a two-time Grammy Award-winning keyboardist with musical roots in gospel, jazz and soul. His instrument of choice is the Hammond B-3 organ. Henry’s 2016 release and touring project, The Revival, features his dynamic and improvisational performances of music ranging from old gospel to Stevie Wonder.

    Lately, he’s been frequenting local Los Angeles clubs, such as Café Cordiale in Sherman Oaks, and both The Vic and The Casa Del Mar Hotel in Santa Monica. Since its premiere in 2004, His glorious singing voice can be heard every week on the television series, Boston Legal, from the theme song right through to the end of each and every episode.
