The Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival has become a major cultural landmark in Boston, offering attendees “the sort of hard choices people have to make at Newport and other top festivals,” according to the Boston Globe. The festival was founded by Darryl Settles, owner of Darryl’s Corner Bar & Kitchen and president of D’Ventures Limited, and has been produced by Berklee since 2007.

This year’s festival will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018, on Columbus Avenue, west of Massachusetts Avenue, for six blocks to Burke Street.

For the past six years, the Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival has proudly received a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), which has recognized the festival as a celebration of Boston’s diversity, as reflected in the remarkable array of attendees, music, food, and crafts at the festival each year.

Please note that all family activities for this year will be hosted in the Kids Zone in Douglas Park.
