As the son of two musicians, Davis Whitfield's early years were filled with music. He began playing the guitar at age 5, and moved to Jersey City, New Jersey at 8 where he began studying the piano.
As a member of the Inna Dudukina Quartet, Whitfield performed in the 2013 Nancy Jazz Pulsations Festival in Nancy, France and in the Summer of 2014 he received his Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance from Berklee College Of Music on a Presidential Scholarship.
