Willie Jones III is one of the world’s top jazz drummers, known both for his distinct style of rhythmic expression and for honoring monumental influences such as Philly Joe Jones, Art Blakey, and Billy Higgins. Tonight, Jones will share a project called Keep Your Soul Together: The Music of Freddie Hubbard,” a celebration of music from the great Freddie Hubbard on what would be his 80th birthday year.
