Grammy Award-winning Contemporary Jazz/R&B superstar has sold close to 2 million albums in his extraordinary career and virtually lives at the top of the Billboard Contemporary Jazz sales and radio charts. Having shared the stage with virtually every Contemporary Jazz superstar from Boney James to Dave Koz to Gerald Albright.
Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Norman Brown first picked up a guitar at the age of 8. First inspired by Jimi Hendrix, it was his father's preference for the sound of Wes Montgomery that set Brown on his stylistic journey. I have been wanting to get Norman back to Hawaii for the last 4 years and he is coming to play for you! He is bringing his great band and this will be an incredible night of incredible guitar playing and vocals.
Norman Brown will be bringing his LA band featuring pianist Gail Johnson. Pianist Gail Johnson is known as the First Lady of Smooth Jazz. Her impressive resume as a recording artist and touring musician includes appearances with such notables as Mindi Abair, Bobby Womack, Ray Parker jr, Pink, Milli Vanilli, Morris Day (Time) & Rain Pryor. TV apearances on The Jay Leno Show, BET, several videos, Gospel Theatre, Jazz Festivals with Cindy Bradley, Peabo Bryson, Jeff Lorber, Patti Austin, Marion Meadows and so many others!
