    Hamasyan describes the songs as “musical observations about the world we live in now, and the weight of history we carry with us.” All About Jazz hailed For Gyumrias “a loving tribute to his home city” and The Guardian raved, “he’s the hottest pianist in jazz, and he likes to mix things up, whether it’s bebop, thrash metal or dubstep. But his heart is in the folk music of his native land, Armenia.”
    Hamasyan began playing piano at age 3 and won the 2003 Montreux Jazz Festival’s piano competition at age 14. He released his debut album, World Passion, in 2005 and the following year won the prestigious Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition. In addition to awards and critical praise, Hamasyan has built a dedicated international following, as well as praise from Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock and Brad Mehldau.

    Basia is a unique world-jazz vocalist who has sold millions of records worldwide, scoring a number of adult contemporary hits, a Top 30 pop hit with “Time and Tide” and even a #1 dance hit since her solo emergence in 1987 following a hit-making stint with the group Matt Bianco. Like such similar uniquely jazzy pop artists as Sade and Michael Franks, Basia albums often come out after a long hiatus yet always meet instant success due to their passionate fanbases and exceptional artistry.

    Cory Henry, Brooklyn NY native, is telling everybody he is on his way. He is a two-time Grammy Award-winning keyboardist with musical roots in gospel, jazz and soul. His instrument of choice is the Hammond B-3 organ. Henry’s 2016 release and touring project, The Revival, features his dynamic and improvisational performances of music ranging from old gospel to Stevie Wonder.

    Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra pianist Dan Nimmer has prodigious technique and an innate sense of swing that often recalls his own heroes—Oscar Peterson, Wynton Kelly, Erroll Garner, and Art Tatum. Nimmer joined the JLCO when he was only 23 years old, and he has released multiple albums as a leader with the Dan Nimmer Trio. Featuring some of New York’s most in-demand musicians, the Dan Nimmer Trio is a highly refined straight-ahead group that shows off Nimmer’s range and virtuosity in a more intimate setting.

    Sax-Man Elan Trotman has quickly become one of the fastest rising stars in jazz with over 10 Billboard topping radio singles in his young career. Trotman brings his tropical grooves and soulful Caribbean flavors to major festivals and cruises worldwide.

    Throughout Bernie Williams’ years with The Yankees, his passion for music never waned, and the sound of a guitar would often be heard emanating from the clubhouse or during team flights. Whether acoustic or electric, a guitar was a constant presence in the star’s locker or equipment bag, and it was no surprise in 2003 when he demonstrated how serious his musical pursuit was with the release of his first album, The Journey Within.
