Miroshnichenko and Namin just dropped the single «Fusion Raga» from their upcoming LP «Roman Miroshnichenko plays Stas Namin». Roman Miroshnichenko is one of the premier guitarists of the new generation of jazz- fusion music.

«Fusion Raga» lineup featuring Grammy award winning violinist Charlie Bisharat and such renowned musicians as Henrik Andersen, Frank Colón (Manhattan Transfer), Gumbi Ortiz from the Al Di Meola band, along with soloists from the Vladimir Sting orchestra. The recording is explosive yet melodic, while “Fusion Raga” concludes the memorable set with an epic tutti.

Building on the successful formula that birthed Roman’s previous albums, the band returned to the studio with the same team of award winning band members from his regular trio with electric bassist Oleg Kanakov and drummer Val Chernoók.

Stas Namin was in charge of the co-production and is well known as a composer, producer, and the leader of the band Flowers which sold more than 60 million records in the 1970s. Namin also created and produced the legendary band Gorky Park.

When one listens to the powerful guitar playing of Roman Miroschnichenko, it is easy to be reminded of Al Di Meola and John McLaughlin during his Mahavishnu period, but it soon becomes apparent that Miroschnichenko has his own fusion sound, setting the standard for XXI century fusion guitar. While he is never shy to cut loose, he also uses subtlety, mood variations and creativity throughout, mixing together tight arrangements with pure spontaneity.

Roman Miroschnichenko began playing guitar when he was 14. While he started out exploring blues and rock, he was regularly exposed to jazz which he found challenged him even more. Since 2003 he has played on at least ten award-winning albums he has received multiple Awards including the Independent Music Awards, USA Songwriting Competition, International Acoustic Music Awards and Gold medal of the Global Music Awards. Voting member of the Recording Academy/GRAMMY®. His soaring career as an artist includes numerous collective performances, and recordings with such world- renowned musicians as Steve Vai, Larry Coryell, Al Di Meola, Jennifer Batten, Simon Phillips, Marco Mendoza, Gary Husband, Stu Hamm, Heather Headley, Paul Wertico, Trilok Gurtu, Virgil Donati, Djivan Gasparyan, Bickram Ghosh, Joao Donato, Richie Cole, Dominique Di Piazza, Daniel “Pipi“ Piazzolla, to name a few.
